Yi-Mei and Me

'Yi-Mei and Me' is a short documentary focusing on the cultural and Identity conflicts one faces after starting a new life in a different country. We follow Yi-Mei, a young mother who tells her story on how her new life in the UK arises internal conflicts around her identity, and Taiwanese heritage.

This short documentary was the first project that I had co-directed, and it sparked my love for documentary filmmaking. This project was eye opening, and personally touching, as it explores the themes of cultural identity, something that is very important to me as a British - Latina.
